HI @MehmetYigit, welcome on board!
Ah, interesting test - not sure if we’ve had any (internal) experience with this or not. Interesting that the Metis is hitting the expected benchmarks, but then there’s something tripping it up on the Orin.
Let me ask around, and we’ll get back to you right here!
Okay, got a bit of an update on this one for you @MehmetYigit
So, the engineering team is actually aware of the compatibility issues with the Orin, and it’s already under investigation as much as time and opportunity allow. But there’s no timeline on official compatibility at the moment, unfortunately. There’s a list of confirmed Metis M.2 compatible hosts here, in the meantime.
That being said, it’s useful to know that there are people out there who are interesting in combining Metis and the Orin, so I’ll definitely pass that along!
Stay tuned here on the community for any updates, and keep us posted on how things are going with your own investigation! Who knows - we might be able to figure it out together
Hi,
Thanks so much for the update and for looking into this — really appreciate the support I’ll be sure to share any solutions I come across on my end as well.
Have a nice day :)
Is it possible to host by nvidia jetson nano super developer kit?
Hi there @rvdovic! Welcome aboard!
I’m not sure anyone’s tested that one, that I can find. I know someone tried a Jetson Orin, which currently has some compatibility issues I think, but I’ve not heard about the Nano Super Developer Kit.
I’ll ask around and see if anyone’s tried it out
Hi @Spanner,
I just wanted to let you know, that the same issue occurs with the Metis PCIe Card in the Jetson Orin AGX. I tried that and got the same warning as @MehmetYigit and the card not showing in lspic.
I’m also interested in using the Metis Board with the Jetson Orin. So please let me know if there are any updates.
Thanks

Yeah, it sounds like this is likely to be a compatibility issue across the Jetson range for the time being. The team knows about it, and some investigation has been done, but nothing that’s got a timeline as yet, unfortunately.
What’s the project you’re working on, @rvdovic?

Hi @maximiliankir! Yeah, same answer at the moment, I’m afraid. There are known compatibility issues with the Jetson range. It’s good to hear from people who want to use it though - it gives us an indication of where we might concentrate efforts internally for maximum results.
I’d encourage yourself, @rvdovic and @MehmetYigit to maybe post a feature request for Jetson compatibility in the Launchpad, so the engineering team can more clearly gauge its popularity - the more upvotes we can see on there, the better it is for evaulation
Hi,
i would also like to use a Jetson ORIN NX as a Host for my application.
The idea is to offload Yolo DNNs on them for a smart mirror.
Did you have any progress on this matter?
Kind regards,
Nils
I don’t believe there’s been anything yet, but you can keep an eye on the officially supported hosts here, and around the community in case anyone else gets it up and running!
Love the project idea, by the way. I built an Alexa into a bathroom mirror, but that’s as smart as I managed to get it so far
Hi @Spanner,
Thanks for your reply!
I wrote a journal about my prototype here https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/11016764
It can recognize objects, gestures and faces on images and a bit of speech recognition.
Currently we are using a lot of NVIDIA stuff and supplement them with two hailo8 for example.
As we like to compare different architectures and systems, your accelerators could be of great interest for us.
We already tried to disable the scc clock and other things to at least see the pcie device, but haven't had much success yet.
Kind regards,
Nils

Oh wow, that sounds like a very cool set up, and it’d be awesome to get some Axelera gear in there for you to try out too.
I’ve just been asking around internally, and I didn’t get any specifics at this point, but it actually sounds like there’s good news on the horizon on this front. I’ll post on the community as soon as I hear anything concrete, but stay tuned!
We should hear something very soon. Like, hopefully in the next week or so
