Metis M.2 temperature

I’m running the metis m.2 chip in a micro pc and the temps are quite high when running the inference.
Core Temp is showing 110.0°C.

What can we do to lower these temps, or is it fine?

Thanks

Does this seem correct with no utilisation?

Hi @naeemza

For now nothing, I will install a passive heatsink tomorrow. I can’t use an active heatsink as I don’t have a power port for the fan on my motherboard.

You definitely need to cool it. More in-depth information here: 25548432682770
The recommended way is to use active cooling. It's recommended to buy the system with active cooling if you are not going to design a custom cooling solution. Our solution doesn't require any ports on your motherboard. It uses the power plug on the M.2 PCB. So using the card without proper cooling will result on a damaged device on the long run.
