In the Axelera AI Community, it means your contributions—big or small—don’t go unnoticed. Whether you’re asking questions, sharing answers, or reacting to posts, you’re building up your profile as an active, valued member of the edge AI community.

The Leaderboard

The leaderboard serves as a dynamic scoreboard, showcasing the most active and helpful members based on the points they’ve accumulated. It’s a transparent way to recognize top contributors and inspire friendly competition.

•  Points Accumulation: As you engage in various community activities—such as posting answers, initiating discussions, or receiving likes—you earn points.
• Real-Time Rankings: The leaderboard updates in real-time, reflecting the current standings of members based on their point totals. This means your position can change as you and others continue to contribute.
• Visibility: The leaderboard allows all members to see who the top contributors are that week, and since the community launched, fostering a sense of achievement and encouraging increased participation.

By actively participating and accumulating points, you not only climb the ranks but also gain visibility on the leaderboard, highlighting your contributions to the entire edge AI community.

Points

Every time you contribute to the Axelera AI Community, you earn points. Whether you’re answering questions, joining discussions, or just showing support with a like, your actions help the community thrive—and you’re rewarded for it.

These points feed into your community rank and leaderboard position. The more you engage, the more recognition you earn. Simple, right?

Here’s how the points break down:

For a little clarification here, let’s also go over what each of those specific actions are:

• Providing an answer: This is when you post a reply to a question, and the orginal poster (OP) marks your response as the best answer. This is where the big points are, so jumping into the questions and offering great answers is the way to hit the top of the leaderboard fast.

• Creating a topic: Adding a new post, question or idea to the different sections of the community. You score well for sharing your thoughts, starting a conversation, asking a question or sending some feedback to the team. Keep talking, and you’ll rack up some big points.

• Posting a reply: Responding to a post or an article. This can include your own. If it’s on a question, your response is considered to be a reply until the OP marks it as being the best answer (at which point it becomes an answer, and you earn extra points).

• Receiving a like or a vote: When someone clicks the like button on your post or reply, or you get an upvote on an idea, feedback or features request you’ve shared. So the better your post, the more it can earn over time.

• Giving a like or upvoting an idea: Providing simple feedback to other members is a great way to show your appreciation or agreement, and you earn a point for taking the small amount of effort for doing so.

🧭 Ranks

As you earn points in the Axelera AI community, you’ll start moving up through a series of ranks. These ranks are a fun way to track your journey and celebrate your contributions over time. They don’t come with a uniform (yet), but they do signal to others just how active and helpful you’ve been.

They’re also a great way for the Axelera team to see who’s most involved with the hardware and software, which will prove invaluable when it comes to working, testing and engaging more closely with our fans. You can see a member’s rank next to their username, and a symbol overlaying their profile image.

Each rank requires a mix of activity—posting, answering, giving and receiving likes—as well as a certain number of total points. You’ll move up automatically when you meet the criteria.

Here’s what it takes to reach each level:

Badges

While ranks show how far you’ve travelled in the community, badges highlight the landmarks you’ve hit along the way. Think of them as merit patches for your virtual jacket—each one earned by doing something useful, creative, or just plain brilliant.

Unlike ranks (which you climb through in sequence), badges are awarded for specific actions or milestones. They’re visible to everyone who visits your profile or sees your posts, making them a great way to showcase your expertise and interests. Other community members—and the Axelera team—can quickly see what you’re known for, whether it’s answering tough questions, launching great ideas, or being a go-to contributor in key categories.

Badges also help us spot standout members when we’re looking for people to join beta tests, special programs, or sneak previews. So if you’ve got badges, you’re not just being recognised—you might also be shortlisted.
