The Prompt – Privacy Notice
Supplement to the Axelera AI Privacy Notice · July 2026
This notice explains how Axelera AI B.V. (Eindhoven, the Netherlands) uses your personal data when you take part in The Prompt project challenge. It supplements our general Privacy Notice at axelera.ai/privacy-policy, which also applies, including your privacy rights and how to exercise them. Privacy questions: info@axelera.ai.
What we collect and why
Application data (name, email, community username, country, your proposal): to assess proposals, select participants, and check we can ship to and pay in your location. Legal basis: taking steps to enter and perform our agreement with you, and our legitimate interest in running the challenge.
Delivery details (postal address, phone number, collected from selected participants when signing the Participant Agreement): to deliver the Project Kit and arrange any return. Legal basis: performance of our agreement with you.
Bank details (cash-prize winners only): to pay your prize. Legal basis: performance of our agreement with you.
Your submission (write-up, demo, code, prompts): published by you on the Axelera AI Community under the challenge terms. Do not include personal data or confidential information in your prompts or submission materials.
Marketing: we only send you marketing communications if you tick the separate opt-in box on the application form. You can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
Delivery providers (to ship and return Kits), Docusign (signing the Participant Agreement), the provider hosting the Axelera AI Community, and banks processing prize payments. Where these providers are outside the EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, as described in our Privacy Notice.
Winner announcements
Winners will be announced on the Axelera AI Community and in Axelera AI's channels by community username. We will only use your real name with your agreement.
How long we keep it
If you are not selected, we delete your application data within 6 months of the end of the challenge. If you are selected or win, we keep the data needed for Kit, prize, and return obligations for 2 years after the challenge ends, unless a longer period is required by law.
