I was watching the new Wingman walkthrough from our agentic coding whisperer
If you've already got a computer vision project running on NVIDIA or Hailo or similar, you don't actually have to rebuild it from scratch to move it over. You open the Wingman app, hit "Port to Axelera", and it takes over from there. Wingman creates the Voyager pipeline, adapts your existing application logic, compiles it, runs it, validates it on the hardware, and bakes a celebration cake for you afterwards.
What started life as a project on another platform is suddenly running on Axelera, with the result sitting on the dashboard ready to inspect and refine. One click.
For anyone who's ever done a hardware migration by hand, you know why that's a big deal. Usually that's the part that eats weeks. Rewriting the pipeline, chasing model compatibility, re-tuning everything for a new accelerator. Or for that matter, it’s where vendor lock-in begins. It’s hard to justify repeating all the work that’s been done elsewhere so you can make the switch to a new (probably better) platform. Having a swarm of agents do the adaptation and hand you back a validated, running pipeline changes that completely.
And it holds up when things go sideways too. If a pipeline stops working, the SDK's misconfigured, or the hardware isn't detected, you don't have to go log-diving for hours. Describe the problem to Wingman, it inspects the environment, diagnoses the issue and walks the system back to a running state. Status goes green, you're back building, no stress.
(The video also shows the from-a-single-prompt side, a gym owner turning "count reps and give form feedback across 15 camera streams" into a working app with pose estimation and benchmarking. It’s awesome, but even then it’s the port button that’s the headline for me.)
